favorite reads.

creepy, exciting, mystical, and still super emotional...what more would you really want out of a great read? i've read a few paul auster books, but this one is just amazing.

i read this one a while ago, and i would like to re-read it at some point. a beautiful novel about families and gender identity, by the author who wrote the virgin suicides.

this is actually the only book i have ever read twice, and i would like to pick it up again. it is such a fast read, but an incredibly fulfilling one. it is a simple book, but reminds us how important it is to stay true to ourselves, never give up on our dreams, and never give up on love.

how is it possible to feel so much empathy for a pedophile? this is one of the only books that has ever made me cry. there is just humbert is just such a sad, lonely character. i need to see the kubrick version of the movie.

this is what i'm working through right now. colum mccan does an amazing job of introducing you to a ton of characters but somehow makes them all seem so real and well developed. i'm nearly done and i love the way all the different people in the book are beginning to intertwine in one anothers' lives.
