i am loving the ease and simplicity of this leather tote from zara. the color and size are elegant, and the lack of adornment is so refreshing.

the fall is rainy here in chicago, but not so rainy that you need to carry an umbrella. i find that a felt or wool hat is a good option. it keeps your hair dry on those misty days and adds a bit of class to whatever you're wearing. i had a fedora style last year, but this year i have my eye on this little lady from goorin brothers. it's part menswear, part lady-like, so i could wear it with all different kinds of ensembles. now it's just a matter of fall getting here. it also comes in gray and brown, either of which color i think i would be more drawn to than the black.
all options are lovely though.

one of the other amazing birthday presents i received was this lunch box from a dutch company called oots, which is quite possibly one of the cutest things i have ever seen in my life. i really want to try too bring my lunch to work as much as possible, and this makes it fun to pack. it even has small tupperware inside for easy packing. adorable!

since the day she started selling them, i have always wanted to purchase a for me, for you necklace by kate miss. unfortunately, they always sell out before i can even get in front of my computer. she is doing a special batch of 100 necklaces for a collaboration with target, and by golly i am going to get one. here's hoping no one else likes the color combination!

my mom has enlisted my help to find her new glasses. she's looking for a tortoise shell pair that has a bit of personality but is not too over the top. i like a thicker frame with a bit of presence as well. the follow images are just the beginning of the search...

i always thought baggu bags were practical, but not necessarily cooler than any other little tote. the new styles available have made me change my tune. i think i love the backpack the best, i have had a thing for casual backpacks ever since felicity. i always thought i wanted a leather one, but these canvas beauties are swaying me in a whole new direction.
the only question is which color to choose.

i just bought a great pair of inexpensive black sunglasses, but i can't stop thinking about a tortoise pair as well. i can justify that, right? different sunnies for different outfits! totally acceptable.
