yay!

my brother dante and his girlfriend monique will be in town for a couple of days, so i will be taking a little blogging break until next wednesday. so excited to do lots of walking, lots of eating,
and lots of laughing.

for a while now emersonmade has been turning out absolutely beautiful accessories (c'mon, get a load of that necklace), but now things are really heating up. she is debuting a line of clothing in early august! they look simply lovely, very classic and american.
i think the jeans are my favorite.

the 4th.

my 4th of july was spent at my dear friend christina's house, with her family, paul, jamie, and david. the highlight of the night was probably the improvised game of four square. i had never played before, but it sure is a lot of fun! i feel pretty lucky to have these wonderful people in my life.

swiss home.

this home in switzerland is absolutely blowing my mind. i would love to spend a month there, just relaxing, reading, and going for walks down to the village to get food for dinner and fresh flowers.

volver.

last night paul and i watched volver. penelope cruz is so arresting and beautiful in that movie. while i really liked the film, i loved the closing credits. i tend to watch the credits no matter what, but when they are beautifully done it makes me extra happy.

maybe this time.

since the day she started selling them, i have always wanted to purchase a for me, for you necklace by kate miss. unfortunately, they always sell out before i can even get in front of my computer. she is doing a special batch of 100 necklaces for a collaboration with target, and by golly i am going to get one. here's hoping no one else likes the color combination!
