these images of world war II era WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Services)are so beautiful and charming. the waves were some of the first women allowed to serve the country in ways outside of just nursing and clerical work. the nostalgic, americana imagery is pretty inspiring.
it's time to break out some chambray.

in search of cromwell dixon.

i absolutely love this print from local artist due sonnenzimmer. the colors are magical, and anything with a bike makes me smile. and about the name - cromwell dixon was the first person to fly across the continental divide. he died during a flying expedition in 1911. that adds a bit more depth to the print, doesn't it?

i have been loving gray and yellow as a color combination for a while now. this thakoon dress is a truly beautiful interpretation of the trend. it is also truly out of my price range.

my mom has enlisted my help to find her new glasses. she's looking for a tortoise shell pair that has a bit of personality but is not too over the top. i like a thicker frame with a bit of presence as well. the follow images are just the beginning of the search...

i already have a helmet i really like, a great little bern number. but is it wrong to want to switch it up? i mean, i wear that thing pretty much every day so it's natural to want a little variety, right?
these nutcase helmets, available at public, are among the coolest i've ever seen. i love that they have something going on but aren't over the top.

amazing.

i love the abstract, almost cosmic prints i've been seeing so much of recently. these items from satara really took my breath away though. and the best part? the dutch-designed clothes are made by underprivileged women in india who are empowered to become entrepreneurs. satara helps these women secure loans so they can make the clothes through their own small company. so cool.
