to me, the opening sequence of parks and recreation is one of the best i've seen in a long time. i just love it! i smile every time i see it. i feel like this video is slightly off in terms of timing,
but you get the overall awesomeness.

a constant search.

i am always keeping my eyes open for the perfect brown leather jacket that won't make me go in to debt. i like everything about this one, except for the price. alas, the search continues.

the gentlewoman.

i finally got my hands on a copy of the gentlewoman, and it is supremely entertaining and interesting. it is not as in you face feminist as say, bitch magazine or even venus zine (although i do enjoy both those publications on occasion)...it is really just a celebration of some really cool ladies doing some really cool things. and the layout/design of the magazine is so beautiful. the cover is a thick semi-gloss with an amazing texture, the article layout is unique and fresh, and the fashion spreads really grab your attention. highly recommended.

dc bound.

we are headed to my hometown, washington dc, in about a week for a quick weekend trip. a friend of mine is having a med school graduation party, so it is the perfect excuse to be home for few days. the thing i am most excited about (aside from seeing my family and friends) is digging in to some maryland crabs. sooo delicious! they are without a doubt my all time favorite food. i have so many wonderful memories of sitting at home with my dad, with a huge pile of crabs in front of us, picking away for hours. it is one thing i really miss from the east coast.

happy birthday! After almost 6 years, i seriously cannot imagine my life without you. here are just a few of the reasons why i love you so.

+ you make me, and everyone around you,
laugh till our sides hurt.
+ you love to ride our matching bikes around, and you always ride behind me because you want to be able to help if anything happens to me.
+ you tell me i'm a great cook, even if all i make is pasta.
+ you people watch with me, and we always seem to notice the same types of folks.

i could go on and on, but the one thing i guess i'm really trying to get across is just how much i love you, pauly.

celebratory.

it is a certain someone's birthday tomorrow,
and i plan on making this cake.
not quite sure on how i'm going to decorate it yet,
